[01] the story
[01]the reposition
it started as a privacy-first travel tracker: your photo library already knows everywhere you've been, so the app maps it without a single byte leaving the phone. honest, useful — and flat. a map you've seen once is wallpaper. a collection asks to be completed. so the map became a binder, and every place became a card.
[02]the rarity engine
every card carries a tier, common through legendary, derived from real tourism-pressure data — world bank arrival numbers against population. the fewer travelers who make it somewhere, the rarer its card: japan is common, bhutan is legendary. your passport score weighs each pull 1 / 2 / 4 / 8 / 16, and a percentile ranks you against 100,000 modeled travelers — always labeled modeled, not measured.
[03]the craft
2,046 card faces and zero commissioned artwork: every card is drawn procedurally — the country's real geometry etched in gold on dark navy, tier palettes running a warm gold-to-coral family. one hard rule sits in the design system: no purple, ever. the foil stays gold, teal and coral, in-app and on every share.
[04]the ceremony
new cards arrive with the lights off. each one waits, face down, until you tap — the pacing of opening a real pack, not a slideshow. the vault shelves your collection by region, rarest first, locked cards showing only a question mark. and sharing mints a holo card of your whole world that never leaves the phone without you.
[02] the rarity ladder
one country, five tiers — the same japan, minted common through legendary. weights double at every step.

[03] the ceremony
the ceremony, the vault, the share — every screen keeps the lights off so the gold does the work.
